What does the polls say about who will be president in 2016?
A poll released Tuesday shows that Hillary Clinton is in a strong position to win the presidency.
It was conducted by the ABC News/Washington Post Political Research Center and the Huffington Post’s Pollster.
The poll shows Clinton leading Trump by 2 percentage points nationally and 7 points in key battleground states.
The ABC/Post poll of likely voters, conducted between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4, showed Clinton leading her Republican rival by 2 points nationally.
That’s up from a previous poll released on Sept. 2 that showed Clinton up by 2 and 7 percentage points.
Clinton has held a strong lead over Trump in the past two weeks, with the last poll showing her up by 1 point on Sept 10 and then losing by 6 points the following day.
But there is no way for Trump to win on his own, as there is virtually no chance he can pull off a win over Clinton.
This is the second poll released this week showing the race tied or slightly tied in a swing state.
The last poll, released on Oct. 6, showed Trump leading Clinton by 6 and 6 points nationally, respectively.
